OGEL IT Supply Chain Charter
Respecting Human Rights
Respecting peoples fundamental dignity and their human rights
Basic Human Rights should be a given. But they are not, therefore we all need to take steps to drive the change we want to see.
Our Human Rights policy is our guide on identifying risks related to human rights breaches within our work force. It helps us identify areas of improvements and gives guidance on understanding, avoiding and addressing these issues.
OGEL IT takes this responsibility seriously and we’ve set ourselves goals and bold aspirations as part of our ESG Progress in Action, embedding these in all areas of our business with realistic targets that will show incremental improvements year upon year.
Our Human Rights policy is part of our Code of Business Conduct which is based on international standards such as the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work as well as the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Working with OGEL IT as an employee, third party contractor, supplier or business partner means respecting human rights in line with our policy and we do not accept threats or intimidation against human rights defenders, and recognise the role of a human rights defender in supporting our efforts to embed human rights within OGEL IT.

Due Diligence
4 Step Process
Assess:
We implemented our risk assessment as part of our plans to identify and address the potential Human Rights breaches within our work force and supply chain, and develop practical and relevant action to eliminate these breaches by working towards a solution.
Managing risks across all our suppliers is a priority and our Supply Chain Charter is made available to all current and potential future suppliers. Our screening and due diligence process allows us to make informed decisions on who we work with, as well as identify areas of improvements within our supply chain.
Integrate & Act:
Identifying risk to Human Rights is an ongoing process and reviewing our relevant policies on an ad hoc or annual bases means we stay on top of any new issues that may arise. In doing so we strengthen our stand on Human rights, our Supplier Code and supplier sourcing process.
Our first point of action is to ensure we have the right policies and procedures in place to uphold our values. We then set out to ensure that our employees, contractors, suppliers and customers are in agreement with our policies and encourage them to work towards a more robust Human rights policy within their organisation.
OGEL IT takes the lead in setting out strict policies for ourselves in the hopes others will follow. We will not lower our standards, only elevate them.
Track:
Our due diligence in vetting our suppliers through our screening process and allowing all suppliers access to our Supply Chain Charter gives OGEL IT the opportunity to choose who we work with. It also allows us to help identify weak areas within third party organisations and help them work towards a solution.
We encourage all our employees, third party contractors and suppliers to read our Speak Up! Policy, Speak Up! Privacy Policy and make use of our Speak Up! Channel, which allows anyone who witnesses’ or suspects any breaches of Human rights within our work force, or supply chain to report them and can do so anonymously.
Communication:
Communication is key to any successful relationship, and we encourage open communication regarding human rights. We believe transparency builds trust and stronger relationships with our customers, associated contractors, suppliers and employees.
We make all our policies related to Human Rights openly available on our website. We are proud of them. We want to share them. We hope to inspire and ignite a change for the respect of people’s fundamental dignity and their human rights.
